Matrix Labs Monthly Update (April 2022)
Matrix Labs’ developers have been working hard to provide the best swapping experience across multiple chains. We are looking forward to launching our 7th blockchain in early May to bring you closer to a multi-chain future.
Here’s a look at what we’ve accomplished in April.
April Highlights
- Matrix Labs developers have been working on implementing our next blockchain for Matrixswap, Cronos.
- Quality Assurance testing to ensure there are no bugs related to our 7th blockchain.
- We also plan on making Matrixswap open source.
- Improved security by filtering tokens that are not listed on CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko.
Development Updates
Our eyes are set to make Matrixswap one of the best DEX aggregators anyone has ever used. And in order to do so, we are continually adding blockchains that are in high demand. With that said, the next blockchain to be implemented in the first week of May is Cronos, an EVM compatible built on Ethermint which has a Proof of Authority (POA) consensus. Cronos already has $2.86b in TVL and growing which makes this a top 10 blockchain being used today (According to DefiLlama).
Free from bugs, quality assurance testing on our end has already been completed to ensure a seamless experience once this blockchain is live.
We also plan on making Matrixswap open source so our developers have been working on making smart contract codes public and the necessary documentation to go along with it.
Developers have also decided to remove tokens that aren’t listed on CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko for security reasons to ensure a safe, secure swapping experience.

What’s Next?
After Cronos has been fully integrated, we will be working closely with Milkomeda to implement our 8th blockchain which is everyone’s favorite, Cardano.
Milkomeda allows us to implement Cardano in a seamless and secure way and will allow users to start swapping tokens on Cardano without the headache of writing new code or implementing Cardano’s native programming language, Haskell.
This will be our next huge milestone as we’ve always wanted to implement Cardano.
